So I’ve been blogging about my various experiences finding great coffee, but I’ve decided to shake it up a bit and talk about one of my inspirations that made me want to start this blog in the first place. Veneziano Coffee Roasters is a business that has the goal of helping coffee shop start-ups be led to success. But that’s not why I want to talk about them. I want to talk about the fact that they have a blog! Which, to be perfectly honest is so much fun to scroll through because they even have sub categories for the blog entries – making it easy for users to find specifically what they want to read about.
They have categories for just simple posts about coffee to barista techniques. Something that a coffee enthusiast who wants to go into the industry would find extremely valuable. Also, because their reach is widespread and they let their employees post on the blog, there are many different perspectives to be found. I honestly just love the idea of a business that takes it back to those who help it run – and gives them a voice. They just seem to be doing many great things than just blog about their stuff; the blog is just a way for them to reach a wider audience.
I mean yes, talking about coffee is a really fun thing to do – just look at my blog for a great example – but Veneziano Coffee Roasters just takes it one step further by actually having a business behind the blog. They even have sections of the blog dedicated to the business, and they talk about events that have to do with them. I mean, the possibilities are endless and this company seems to have figured out how to take advantage of all opportunities: I greatly admire that. I hope one day, this blog, or whichever blog I may start up in the future can take off and represent a business too. Because, well I decided to get a degree in Public Relations for a reason.
