My Highly Caffeinated Life

Hi y’all my name is Alicea, and well, this blog is going to be about the different places I feed my caffeine addiction, and why I choose each one. As someone who needs coffee to function, creating a blog about different coffee shops I frequent is a no-brainer. Because lets be honest, finding a good coffee shop to study at that also has good coffee is a bit of a struggle when you live in San Marcos. And, let’s not even get started on the fact that most coffee shops in San Marcos close unreasonably early. College students obviously need places to study that are open past 10 pm… why is it so hard for a college town to understand this.

That’s where this blog comes in. See I’ve been up and down the I-35 corridor from San Antonio to Austin in search of coffee shops to study at, or just straight chill. Depending on the time of day and the atmosphere and exactly what I wish to accomplish helps me decide which place I want to go to: the different kinds of coffee and food that they serve also play a huge part in helping me choose the shop too! Also, most Texas State University students have to look for employment and internship opportunities outside of San Marcos, and those usually occur in San Antonio or Austin. These working college students do not have a lot of free time to find places to study, so I’ve gone ahead and done the work for them.

Basically, this blog is meant to reach the busy college student, or even a fellow caffeine addict who feels like San Marcos is too small of a place with limited options. As someone from Houston (H-town), who could find anything I wanted at any time… well I’m just used to full-fledged city life. That is not to say that I’m not going to blog about some coffee shops in San Marcos, but there are just way more options if someone is just willing to drive and explore. Eventually this blog will be hooked up to my Twitter and maybe if this takes off I may make an Instagram, but I digress. Happy coffee hunting everyone, and stay tuned.
